About HIMAPAR
HIMAPAR (Student Association of the Undergraduate Tourism Study Program) is a student organization under the Undergraduate Tourism Study Program, Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University. The organization was originally established under the name HIMADESPAR on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, and officially changed its name to HIMAPAR on Friday, September 10, 2021, in Denpasar, Bali.
Meaning Behind the HIMAPAR Emblem
The HIMAPAR emblem is rich in meaning and reflects the core values of the organization:

The circle containing the organization's full name symbolizes continuity and unity within the student body of the Undergraduate Tourism Study Program.

Three knots represent the three pillars of tourism: government, community, and the private sector.

Seven curved lines symbolize the "Sapta Pesona" (Seven Charms): Safety, Order, Cleanliness, Coolness, Beauty, Hospitality, and Lasting Impressions.

The Meru represents Indonesia's cultural heritage.

The gate (gapura) symbolizes HIMAPAR’s openness and inclusiveness to all students in the program.

The color blue conveys calmness, professionalism, and strength within the program’s academic environment.
Vision
To establish HIMAPAR as a creative, independent, and culturally-rooted tourism student organization, integrating academic and non-academic aspects as a practical application of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and the Tri Hita Karana philosophy.

Objectives of HIMAPAR

To unite all students of the Undergraduate Tourism Study Program in contributing to the program’s development.

To strengthen the sense of brotherhood among students, within and beyond the program, guided by the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity).

To increase awareness of critical and ethical thinking toward tourism issues in Indonesia.

To promote active student involvement in the advancement of the national tourism sector.

To broaden students’ insights in the field of tourism.

To carry out community service activities in line with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
HIMAPAR Activities
HIMAPAR organizes a range of activities designed to enhance students’ competencies, including:

Educational programs, training, tourism planning, and research initiatives.

Academic and non-academic activities aimed at strengthening both hard and soft skills to support the organization’s mission.
Membership

All active students of the Undergraduate Tourism Study Program are automatically HIMAPAR members.
-
First-semester students are required to participate in the initiation event (SPara Welcome Day). Students who do not attend this event are ineligible for the study visit.
-
Both first- and third-semester students must join the study visit, which supports academic development and is a graduation requirement for a specific course.
